How To Import Your Church Facebook Page To Your Church Website
One of the things I like to do is write about time saving tips for pastors, especially when it comes to mundane things like updating a website.
Today's tip is about how you can import your events, posts, and even your live stream from Facebook and have it post on your church website so that people who visit your website can see your upcoming events or your live stream right there.
This is a screenshot from our church website as an example of what I am talking about.
This is what you will need to make this work
- A church website built using WordPress.
- A church Facebook page.
- The plug in I am going to recommend.
Step One - Login to your church website
- Log in to your church WordPress website and hover over the plugins link on the left sidebar. Click on add new.
- Leave that tab open.
Step Two - Get The Smash Balloon Custom Facebook Feed Pro Plugin
Here is where you have a choice. You can download a limited free version of the plugin I am going to recommend but it will not do all that you want it to do. It is basically just a sample of what can be done.
I recommend you go to Smash Balloon and purchase the Custom Facebook Feed Pro plugin. It is less than $50.00 and it will save you hours of work. Here is an example of what it does. You can test it out on a demo page and see what it will look like from your Facebook page.
Step Three - Install And Configure The Plugin
After you have purchased the plugin, you should have received a .zip file. Go back to the tab where you have the add new plugin open. Upload that zip file and click install. It will install the plugin and then click activate.
After that, you can follow this video to configure the plugin so that it will automatically import your pictures, videos, events, and posts to your church website.
There you have it. You can find more documentation on this sweet little plugin that will be a time saver for your or your church webmaster here.
